ADA & Outreach Services
At all PPL locations, we offer computers and Internet access for the public as well as wheelchair accessible workstations. Our collections include large print fiction and nonfiction as well as books in audio CD, downloadable MP3, and e-Book formats. Our buildings comply with ADA standards and include automatic doors, ramps, and audio-assisted elevators for your comfort and ease while visiting.
Outreach services are available to Portland residents who cannot come to a library facility due to illness or disability. Email Outreach Services or call (207) 871-1700 x729 for more information.
Talking Books are available to all Maine residents who are unable to read conventional print materials. This program is sponsored by the Library of Congress and administered by the Maine State Library.
