What would you do if you were in charge of the Teen Library? Make it happen by becoming a Teen Library Volunteer!
We’re looking for motivated teens to help us make the Teen Library the best place it can be! You can choose which type of volunteering is right for you:
Teen Library Leaders
Do you want to plan and implement Teen Library programs and events? Do you want to run or lead a program yourself? Our Teen Library Leadership Council is for you! This group meets once a month, and monthly attendance is required.
Here are some programs that the Teen Library has offered recently.
- Uno tournaments
- Writing groups
- Sewing workshops
- Drawing contests
- Poetry readings
What are YOUR ideas? Let’s make it happen when you join our Leadership Council!
Drop-in
Come to library any time during our Volunteer Drop-in Hours to volunteer with tasks that help the Teen Library run smoothly.
- Write reviews of books, graphic novels, manga, or games from our collection to help other patrons decide what they’ll check out next.
- Adopt-a-shelf to make sure our books, graphic novels, manga, and games are in order so that patrons can find what they need.
- Running games and activities for other teens.
On Call
When you join our Teen Library Discord, we’ll let you know when we have volunteer opportunities on an as-needed basis.
- Support Teen Library Staff in setting up or running Teen programs (i.e. Button Club, FIFA Tournaments, Snack Chats, etc.).
- Hang posters up at school to advertise Teen programs.
