A common loon and a photo of bird expert and Maine Audubon employee, Nick Lund

Maine Audubon has worked for 40 years to better understand how Maine’s iconic Common Loons are faring. Watch to learn about the biology of these beautiful birds, and what we’re doing to protect them.

Nick Lund is Maine Audubon’s Advocacy and Outreach Manager. He is the author of a regular column in the Portland Phoenix and of two recent books, The Ultimate Biography of Earth and The American Birding Association Field Guide to the Birds of Maine.

Sustainability Series is back in-person at the Downtown Library.
