Maine has led the nation in implementing polices that strengthen our democracy. How can Maine share what it has learned? How can we raise more awareness and curiosity about innovations in democracy? Learn how Maine is part of a global conversation about democracy.

Anna Kellar stands in front of the Maine State HouseAnna Kellar, Executive Director of the League of Women Voters of Maine, has researched and worked on issues involving conflict resolution and anti-corruption in Eastern Europe and Central Asia. Anna grew up in Maine before earning a BA in Political Science from Yale University and a Masters from the London School of Economics. From civic engagement to designing institutions to withstand polarization, Anna brings an international perspective to their work in Maine.
