How do I search for
all the audiobooks the library owns?
Search for the subject heading Audiobooks.
If you are searching for just books on tape, search for the call
number audiocas.
To search for books on CD, for nonfiction, search for call number compact
disc, and for fiction, call number compact
disc fiction.

Do you have a
piano?
Yes. Many people are not aware
that the library has a piano, which may be used by any patron for
one hour per day. The piano is located in the audiovisual
department at the Main Library and is available all of the hours
that the library is open (with the exception of the last 10 minutes
before closing) and may be reserved up to a week in advance.
To reserve time on the piano, call 871-1700, ext. 705.

Can I watch
movies in the library?
No. We do not have
appropriate copyright permission to allow viewing of movies in the
library.

Can I download
audiobooks?
PPL offers NetLibrary Downloadable
Audiobooks. To use downloadable audiobooks, you will need a Windows
computer and a broadband internet connection, and a PPL library
card. Set up an account in the library or by calling the reference
desk at 871-1725. The service will not work on Macs or iPods,
and cannot be burned to a CD. If you would like to transfer to
a portable device, it must be Windows Media PlaysForSure.
